The HLK-LD2410B Human Presence Radar Module is a high-sensitivity 24GHz mmWave human presence sensor designed to detect both moving and stationary human presence. Unlike conventional PIR motion sensors, the LD2410B uses FMCW radar technology to detect subtle human movements and presence, making it suitable for smart lighting, room occupancy detection, automation, robotics, IoT, and security applications.

The module supports an adjustable sensing range of approximately 0.75m to 6m, with a detection angle of up to ±60° and a distance resolution of 0.75m. It provides both UART and GPIO output, allowing easy integration with popular development platforms such as Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi and other microcontroller-based systems.

How HLK-LD2410B Works

The LD2410B uses 24GHz FMCW radar to detect changes caused by a human body within its sensing area. Its signal-processing algorithms can distinguish human presence from simple environmental changes and provide real-time detection information.
