The PN5180 NFC Module is a high-performance 13.56 MHz NFC/RFID reader module based on the NXP PN5180 NFC frontend IC. It is designed for advanced contactless communication projects involving NFC tags, RFID cards, access control, smart identification, automation, and embedded systems.

Unlike basic NFC modules such as MFRC522, the PN5180 supports a wider range of contactless protocols, including ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and Type B, ISO/IEC 15693, FeliCa, NFC Forum tag types, and NFC peer-to-peer communication. NXP specifies ISO/IEC 14443 Type A/B reader-writer operation up to 848 kbit/s.

The module communicates with a microcontroller through a high-speed SPI interface, making it suitable for Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi and other embedded platforms. A BUSY signal is used for communication timing on common PN5180 module implementations.

For Bangladeshi students, electronics hobbyists and engineers, the PN5180 is a useful choice for developing NFC/RFID readers, smart access systems, attendance systems, inventory tracking, identification systems, IoT projects and contactless automation.

Important: Exact supply voltage, logic-level requirements, antenna dimensions, connector pinout and operating distance can vary between PN5180 module-board designs. Check the specific module manufacturer's documentation before connecting it to a 5 V microcontroller. One common PN5180 module implementation uses 3.3 V logic and requires level shifting for 5 V Arduino boards.
