The Waveshare RP2350-USB-A RP2350A USB Mini Development Board is a compact and powerful microcontroller platform designed for embedded systems, USB applications, electronics prototyping, education, and custom hardware development. Powered by the Raspberry Pi RP2350A microcontroller, this miniature development board offers a flexible dual-architecture design with Arm Cortex-M33 and Hazard3 RISC-V processor cores, operating at frequencies up to 150MHz. This makes it an attractive platform for Bangladeshi students, electronics engineers, makers, IoT developers, and embedded-system enthusiasts who want to experiment with the newer RP2350 architecture.

The board provides 520KB SRAM together with 2MB onboard NOR Flash, giving developers useful memory resources for firmware, embedded applications, peripheral control, and educational projects. One of its standout features is its USB-focused design. It includes a USB Type-C connector for programming and USB 1.1 host/device functionality, plus an onboard USB Type-A expansion connector implemented through PIO, which supports USB 2.0/1.1 transmission compatibility. This configuration makes the board especially interesting for experimenting with USB peripherals, custom USB devices, HID projects, data interfaces, and PIO-based applications.

For hardware expansion, the RP2350-USB-A exposes 15 multifunction GPIO pins. Available peripheral resources include 2× SPI, 2× I2C, 2× UART, 4× 12-bit ADC inputs and 14 controllable PWM channels. The RP2350 platform also provides 12 Programmable I/O state machines, enabling developers to implement custom digital interfaces and timing-sensitive protocols that may be difficult to handle using conventional peripherals alone.

The development board includes a WS2812 RGB LED, BOOT button, RESET button, 2MB W25Q16 NOR Flash and a low-noise RT9013-33GB LDO regulator. Its castellated PCB design allows the module to be soldered directly onto a custom carrier board or PCB, making it useful not only for breadboard-style experimentation but also for compact embedded product prototypes.

Programming is convenient through USB, including drag-and-drop mass-storage programming. Waveshare provides development resources for the board, while the platform supports development using C/C++ and Arduino IDE. The RP2350 family also provides features such as low-power sleep/dormant modes, an integrated temperature sensor, accurate clock/timer resources and accelerated floating-point libraries.

For students learning microcontrollers, engineers developing USB-enabled hardware, or makers moving beyond RP2040-based projects, the Waveshare RP2350-USB-A provides a compact combination of modern processing architecture, flexible GPIO, programmable I/O and USB connectivity.
